Main Program
with Dominique Sieglaff, E-RYT 200 & YACEP
In this three-day advanced study retreat at beautiful Camp Allen in the piney woods, we will explore the wisdom of the in-between states, known in Vajrayana Buddhism as the Bardos. Most of us find ourselves in the midst of transition on a regular basis. In Buddhist teachings, bardo times are regarded as great opportunities. Especially in major transitions, we have a chance to glimpse things in a new and fresh way. Over the course of the weekend, we will take a powerful inner journey through the six traditional bardo states: the Bardo of This Life, the Bardo of Dreams, the Bardo of Meditation, the Bardo of Dying, the Bardo of True Nature, and the Bardo of Becoming.
In thought-provoking dharma talks, we will learn how to navigate with greater ease and insight both the major and minor transitions throughout our lives. The Hindu practices of Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, as well as the practice of Buddhist Meditation, will help us put our realizations into action. Utilizing the magic of modern technology, we will have a live and interactive virtual class with revered meditation teacher, speaker and author RamDev Dale Borglum, PhD from San Francisco, CA.
In addition to the focused study classes, there will be plenty of rest periods peppered throughout the retreat. We will have extended meal times with delicious freshly-made vegetarian dishes. There will be tea and treats by the lake at the end of each day to unwind and enjoy community. And we will have a large block of free time on Saturday afternoon for you to use however you wish?! Take advantage of the many fun activities at Camp Allen such as: nature trails, pools, pavilion games, athletic courts, disc golf, fishing, and pedal boats on Lake Coffield.

Healing at the Edge - A Live Interactive Virtual Class
For forty years my consuming interest, both personally and professionally, has been the healing process. Why do some people experience wholeness as they approach death while others lose themselves in denial, depression, and distraction? Why is it that some of the most alive and awake Westerners I’ve known have been, almost without exception, people near death? Is there some powerful truth about life and about healing that you and I can receive from these few who, as they went through the process of dying, deeply realized their own wholeness?
In this presentation we will consider the deeper questions surrounding death, healing, and the sacred, so that each of us can better embody an enlivened sense of being in the world. We can learn much from those who have been forced to the edge by their life circumstances. Without time for much analysis or doubt, many plunged ahead and experienced wholeness. The deepest practice does not require years of preparation. There is a direct, clear path to healing. Together we will investigate the path to wholeness – the path that includes motivation, invocation, compassion, empowerment, and ultimately healing into nonduality.

Cell Phones / Tablets / Computers
Ahhh technology… We need to find a healthy balance between staying in touch with family and friends, and creating a sacred space for ourselves. Please leave all devices in your bedroom during class and meal times. If you must use them, please find a private place away from the group to use your cell phone, tablet or laptop. Better yet, leave all the hi-tech devices in your car, wear a watch, and go on a technology fast for the weekend! Could you go an entire weekend without checking your cell phone? Hmmm… interesting.
Refunds
Full refunds are available until 14 days before the event. Sorry, no refunds after 05/05/2023.
